Some of the important milestones that most kindergartners must reach include counting to 100; reading and writing to 10; understanding time – today, tomorrow, yesterday, afternoon, night, and even telling time to the hour; basic measurements – being able to compare what is bigger or smaller or heavier; recognize shapes – circles, rectangles, triangles, squares, etc.

While these are some of the broad math topics that are covered in kindergarten, it is important to realize that different kids have different learning curves. Maintain a pace that the little ones are comfortable with. As long as the activities are interactive and engaging, kids are sure to enjoy learning math. So get started immediately and watch the magic!
