Apple Pie and Circles

When students start learning the ins-and-outs of circles, the formulas can seem endless. Combining those formulas with just the other everyday formulas for tons of other shapes, it can get really hard to keep them all straight.

Mnemonics can help a lot when it comes to the memorization of formulas. One of the most popular mnemonics used is for the formula to calculate area of a circle.

A= π r² - ‘Apple pie are square’.

Simple yet easy to remember, isn’t it?
